Epos Printers ? An Introduction - Shopping - Electronics

Years ago where technology is not as advanced as we got now, receipts are being issued using an ink based system. For sure, you have witnessed the receipt coming out from the cash register and you hear the sound as it prints the receipt for you. It is placed on a roll of white paper using blue or black ink. Then, it will be given to you upon you pay the goods.

Can you imagine how inventory is checked? It would take days or even weeks to have the inventory be on the right track. Simply means, manual inventory checking will be done for this. Guess what? The number of labor hours dedicated to do the inventory checking will be a total waste which could have been used to do other productive work that would increase revenue to the business. Good thing that EPOS system has been created. Now, things will run smoothly more especially on inventory management. You would know how many stocks are left, sold, etc. Without having to physically count them by hand. It is like you are using a magic wand, right?

How is this done? Well, basically all inventory that comes in are encoded in the computer, and when there has been a sale, the use of epos printers would play an integral part on determining how many stocks are left. This is how it works, imagine, you got 100 apples on stock. With an EPOS system, you would have a beginning inventory of 100 apples. After 24 hours, you got 10 apples sold out. This is evidenced by the record of sales produced when you issue a receipt using epos printers.

The printer itself does not do a basic function of printing a receipt. It is way more than that. It updates your database especially with regard to inventory management. At the end of the day, when you check your system, you would see that there are 10 apples that have been pulled out from your inventory and sold. What you got now as of the moment is a total of 90 apples instead of 100 apples.

This is where we can appreciate an EPOS system. Imagine no more checking your inventory physically and do the counting manually. All you have to do is to login into your database and check how many stocks are left, and how many were sold. You can even get a glimpse as to the sales made during that day.

The very department who benefits from using an EPOS system and epos printers is the accounting department. They will not be having headaches trying to reconcile everything from the beginning inventory to ending inventory. The sales are calculated accurately. All they need to do is to check everything out on the database.
