Canon has received international accolades across its range of multifunction devices, with three Canon machines winning 2010 Buyers Laboratory Inc (BLI) Outstanding Achievement awards. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5035i, imageRUNNER 3245N and the imageCLASS MF8350Cdn each won awards for energy efficiency after extensive testing from BLI the world's leading independent tester of document imaging products. BLI's Outstanding Achievement awards are given to those products which proved to be the most energy efficient in their field with measurements taken over six months on the energy consumed by document imaging products in all modes including energy-save, idle and sleep. Canon's BLI Outstanding Achievement awards came in the categories Personal/Small Workgroup Color Multifunction Printer (imageCLASS MF8350Cdn) A3 Monochrome Multifunction Printer (imageRUNNER 3245N) and A3 Color Multifunction Printer (imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5035i). Each of the three Canon devices receiving Outstand ing Achievement awards earned five-star ratings resulting from the testing. BLI's senior product editor for scanners and environmental Lisa Reider says: "For many customers today, energy efficiency is just as important as productivity and reliability, and these three models help answer that demand. That's what I call a big step in the right direction."Mike Johnston, Country Manager for Canon New Zealand, says the company is honoured to receive the BLI accolades. "Canon has a long-standing commitment to being an environmental-conscious company, and we are thrilled to receive three 'Outstanding Achieving' awards for 'Energy Efficiency' from Buyers Laboratory," says Johnston.
