The Brother HL-2140 is a personal, well-designed and smart monochrome laser printer which is also a one-per-desk printer. This machine can give a better deal to people who don't need to print much in color.
Printer Set-up and Design
This product from Brother comes in neatly combined light grey with dark slate. The power button is located on the printer's right side. The toner, error and drum condition LED indicators are positioned behind the power indicator. It comes with a connector for USB 2.0 but there is no USB cable included in the package.

There are also cartridges that are available in regular-yield capacities, which can print up to 1,500 pages and high-yield capacities that can print up to 2,600 pages. The street price for these items varies so a buyer may have to look around for a better price.
Toner Cartridge
Since the Brother HL-2140 can only print in grey-scale, it uses a toner rather than ink. It can print very good quality prints and graphics. But the toner light seems to come very late to note that the toner is depleted. There is an easy suggested way in order to use the toner up to its last drop which is putting on a tape on the sensors of the Brother HL-2140 toner cartridge.
One thing to notice on this printer is the replacement drum, which is not built together with the toner cartridge. It is estimated to print out 12,000 pages then after that it a new drum needs to be replaced. The price of a new drum toner prices however can be relatively high in cost which can be problem to the owner.
